Story Details

Barnaby Bear, quite grand, Loved counting flakes right on his hand. One, two, three, carefully. He’d lick each one, you see!

Then came a whoosh! A frosty fright! A blizzard blew with all its might. Snowflakes swirled, a dizzying mass, Too many for his counting glass!

He tried to count, he tried so hard, With eyes all wide, a tiny guard. One! Two! Ten! A thousand more! They piled up at his cozy door.

His lip began to quiver low, "Too much! Too much! Oh, woe, oh, woe!"

But then a scent, so sweet and deep, Awakened him from snowy sleep.

His mama called, "Come, Barnaby! We have a treat, just wait and see!" He scampered in, with joyful bounce, A berry pie, a big announce!

"So many berries!" Barnaby cried, "So much good!" he gushed inside. He ate it up, with happy sound, The bestest pie he'd ever found!
