THE LITTLE STUDY TEAM In a quiet village, a little fox named Fiona sat under a big oak tree. She stared at her open workbook. The letters danced in her eyes. “I wish I could read faster,” she whispered.
Her friend Bram, a gentle brown bear cub, noticed her worried face. “What’s wrong, Fiona?” he asked.
Fiona sighed. “I try… but the words won’t stay still.”
Bram sat beside her. “Let’s study together,” he said warmly. “I can read the words, and you can follow with your paw.”
Hope flickered in Fiona’s bright eyes.
They started slowly. Bram read each word aloud, soft like morning wind. Fiona traced the shapes with her paw, whispering them after him.
A strong breeze flipped their pages out of order. Fiona panicked. “Oh no! I’ll never remember where we were!”
Bram gently pressed the book flat. “It’s okay. We’ll find our place again.”
They used leaves as page markers—yellow, red, and green. “Color codes!” Bram said proudly.
Fiona giggled. “Now I won’t get lost.”
The more they practiced, the steadier Fiona became. She read a whole line without stopping. Her ears perked up in surprise. “I… I did it!”
Bram clapped his big paws. “See? Your effort is working!”
Fiona felt her chest warm like sunlight. “I’m not scared of the words anymore.”
They ended their study with a tiny celebration— two cookies, one apple slice, and a shared smile.
“Studying together makes learning lighter,” Bram said. Fiona hugged her friend.
“Thank you, Bram. You helped my heart feel brave.” Above them, the oak leaves swayed gently—like a quiet cheer for friendship and learning.
