Story Details

Puffy was a tiny cloud who wanted to rain right now. Every morning he puffed up his cheeks and said, “Today I want to rain! I’m ready!”

But the bigger clouds laughed kindly. “Not yet, Puffy. You need more water first.”

Puffy zoomed around the sky, trying to catch water drops quickly. But no matter how hard he rushed, it wasn’t enough.

One day he slowed down. He floated gently, patiently collecting little drops at a time. Hour by hour… he grew heavier, softer, fuller.

Then—plip plip plip—rain finally fell from him. A rainbow appeared and the flowers below stretched happily.

“You did it, Puffy!” the clouds cheered.

Puffy sparkled. “I guess waiting isn’t wasting time… it’s preparing.”
