Lina spotted a tiny glowing light zip around her room. When she touched it—POOF!—it became a mini sprite. “I’m Sparkle!” the sprite chirped. Lina smiled. “You’re magic!”
Sparkle twirled. “Sparkle pop!” Lina’s socks danced, her pillow bounced, and her cat snored louder. Lina laughed—but Sparkle shrank a little.
“Oh no!” Lina cried. “You’re getting smaller!” Sparkle nodded. “My magic is running out. I need the Glow Stone to recharge!” Lina grabbed her shoes. “Then let’s go!”
They sneaked past Mr. Whiffle and tiptoed outside. In the glowing Whisper Woods, Sparkle hiccupped—POOF! A bush turned into cotton candy. Lina smiled wide. “We’d better hurry.”
The ground began to wobble like jelly! Lina slipped and landed on soft moss. Sparkle was now as small as a button. “Come on!” Lina said. “We can do this!”
A wooden bridge stood before them. When Lina stepped on it, it burst into laughter! “Hee-hee! Ha-ha!” Sparkle whispered, “It only opens for happy people.” So they made silly faces until the bridge lowered.
Finally, they saw the shining crystal. Sparkle touched it and—FWOOOOSH!—light filled the clearing. Sparkle grew back to normal size, glowing brightly.
“I’m all charged up!” Sparkle cheered. “Thank you, Lina!” He created a small star charm in her hand. “It will shine when you need me.” Lina watched Sparkle fly into the sky. Magic was real—and it was her friend.
