Story Details

The Safety Circle Iris and Caleb were exploring the park when Iris spotted a shiny object near the bushes.

“I want to see!” she said, stepping forward. Caleb grabbed her sleeve. “Wait! We need the safety circle.”

“The what?” Iris asked. Caleb drew a small circle on the ground. “We stay inside, look first, decide later.”

They peered carefully. The shiny object was just a metal wrapper with sharp edges.

“That could’ve cut me,” Iris realized. Caleb nodded. “Looking first keeps us safe.”

They tossed the wrapper into the trash using a stick.

Iris smiled. “Let’s use the safety circle every time.”
