Amara was a cheerful little girl, full of kindness and joy. Her parents always told her, “Your heart carries a beautiful light. Let it shine everywhere you go.”
One sunny afternoon, a family friend visited. They noticed how polite and helpful Amara and her siblings were.
Before leaving, they gave each child a small gift.
Amara said, “Mom, I want to use my gift to buy things for school.” Her mom smiled. “That’s a wise choice, my shining star.”

Amara skipped joyfully— until ouch! She stepped on a thorn and tears filled her eyes.
Feeling upset, Amara thought, “I’ll leave the thorn… so someone else feels my pain too.” Her light felt dim for a moment.
After shopping, Amara felt bright again. But on her way home…
she stepped on the same thorn again! This time it hurt even more. She realized: “If I had picked it up, no one—including me—would get hurt.”
She gently picked up the thorn and threw it away safely. Her heart felt warm again. Doing good—especially when no one is watching—makes your inner light glow brightest.
Amara Got home and rush to hug her mother, as she tells her what happened on her way to shopping.
