Story Details

Little fox Lily woke up in her cozy forest home. “Today I will visit all my friends!” she said, wagging her fluffy tail.

First, she met Beaver by the clear river. Beaver was building a dam with sticks. “This dam makes a pond for fish and frogs!” he said happily.

Next, Lily saw Squirrel jumping from tree to tree. “I plant nuts everywhere,” said Squirrel. “New trees grow from my forgotten nuts!”

In a sunny meadow, Hedgehog was rolling in soft grass. “I eat snails and bugs that harm flowers,” said Hedgehog with a big smile.

A beautiful deer with shiny antlers walked slowly. “I eat leaves from high branches so small plants can get sunlight,” said Deer gently.

Turtle was resting on a warm rock by the pond. “My strong shell protects me, and I walk slowly to enjoy every day,” he laughed.

A family of birds was building a round nest in a tree. “We sing pretty songs and carry seeds in our tummies to new places!” chirped Mommy Bird.

Rainbow-colored dragonfly flew over the water. “I eat tiny bad mosquitoes so you don’t get itchy bites!” buzzed Dragonfly.

At noon, Mr. Sun shone warmly from the blue sky. “I help flowers open and give energy to everyone,” said the Sun with a golden smile.

Soft rain started to fall — pitty-pat, pitty-pat! “I water the plants so they grow tall and strong,” said Rain, dancing down.

When the rain stopped, a bright rainbow appeared! All the animals clapped and cheered. “Nature is full of magic!” shouted Lily.

Lily hugged her forest friends and ran home. “Every animal and every drop of rain helps our forest stay happy and healthy!” And Lily promised to love and care for the forest forever.
