Story Details

This is the far, far North. The ocean here is very cold and the sky is often gray.

I am a giant iceberg! I am made of frozen water, and I float slowly on the sea.

The air is so cold that it leaves tiny, white frost on the top of my surface.

Only a small part of me shows! Most of my huge body is hidden under the dark water.

Look! A big, white polar bear is walking carefully on my flat top, looking for fish.

Way over there, a group of small penguins are huddled together to stay warm.

A giant blue whale swims slowly around me. It is the biggest animal in the sea!

The strong, cold wind blows snow across my surface. It sounds like a gentle whisper.

When the sun shines, the edges of my ice sparkle like clear, blue diamonds.

Sometimes, the warm sun melts me just a little. Drip, drip! The water returns to the sea.

CRACK! Tiny pieces of ice break off me and become small ice cubes in the water.

When it is night, the sky lights up with colorful, dancing lights above me. What a wonderful home!
