Story Details

This is the seashore! It is a wide, sunny place with soft, warm sand.

I am Sandy, a little shell. I live on the beach. I have a pretty, spiral shape.

Swish, swoosh! The blue ocean waves roll in and out, covering the sand.

The bright sun shines down. It makes my shell dry and warm after the wave passes.

A little red crab quickly digs a hole in the sand to hide when the waves come.

A kind girl is building a big, tall sandcastle. I am sitting next to it, watching!

Caw! Caw! A noisy white seagull flies overhead, looking for food in the water.

The ocean leaves behind foamy, white bubbles that disappear very fast.

People walk along the beach, leaving big and small footprints in the wet sand.

Look! The waves polished this glass until it was smooth and blue. It is a treasure!

The day is ending. The sun sets over the water, turning the sky a fiery red.

I am Sandy. I feel safe and calm on the beach, listening to the gentle waves all night long.
