Story Details

It is very early morning. The forest is quiet and cool, waiting for the sun.

I am Misty, the soft, white fog. I come from the cool air meeting the warm ground.

I love to play hide-and-seek! I make the bottom of the trees disappear from sight.

I am made of millions of tiny water droplets floating very close to the ground.

The sun is slowly rising. I can see a soft, yellow glow trying to peek through me.

Look at the little child walking! I make it look like only their legs are moving!

I cover the small house so it looks like it is sleeping under a white blanket.

The gentle morning breeze pushes me slowly. I roll and drift across the field.

My tiny droplets make the spider web look like it is covered in shiny little pearls.

When I move away, I leave a wet, cool mark on the green leaves of the plants.

The sun is getting warm now! The heat makes me float up and disappear into the sky.

I am gone! Now the day is bright and clear. I will be back again tomorrow morning!
