Panda Teaches the Past Tense
Join Panda, a kind bear with a graduation cap, as he patiently teaches Mia the tricky world of past tense verbs. Through simple examples and encouraging words, Mia learns to transform 'play' into 'played' and 'eat' into 'ate', making grammar fun and easy to understand.
Panda wants to teach Mia how to talk about things she did yesterday, but Mia keeps forgetting to change verbs into the past tense.
Panda asks, “Mia, what do you do after school today?” Mia says, “I play with my dog!”
Panda smiles. “Good! Now tell me: What did you do yesterday?” Mia hesitates.
Panda explains, “In the past, ‘play’ becomes played. Add –ed!”
Mia tries again: “Yesterday, I played with my dog!” “Perfect!” Panda cheers.
Panda shows another word: walk. “Today you walk to school. What about yesterday?”
Mia says, “Yesterday, I walked to school!” Panda nods: “Great! Add –ed again!”
Panda teaches an irregular verb: “Today you eat lunch. Yesterday you ate lunch.”
Mia says all three: “I played with my dog.” “I walked to school.” “I ate lunch at 12!” Panda beams proudly.
Mia cheers: “Past tense is easy now!”
