Story Details

This is a forest path. It is covered in soft, brown fallen leaves from the trees.

I am Ben, a sturdy wicker basket. I am woven from strong, dry grass.

The warm sun shines on the path, making it a perfect day for collecting things.

The child is picking shiny, red apples and putting them gently right inside me!

Now I am filled with bumpy brown acorns and nuts that fell from the trees.

The child holds my strong, woven handle and carries me carefully back to the house.

Sometimes, I hold beautiful, colorful flowers that the children pick in the garden.

The wind blows gently, making my woven sides feel cool and fresh.

On cold days, I sit next to the warm fireplace, holding dry sticks and pinecones.

The child uses a soft cloth to wipe me clean after a busy day outside.

Now I am resting on a high shelf, waiting for my next big job!

I am Ben, the busy basket. I rest now, dreaming of the treasures I will carry tomorrow!
