Barnaby, a fluffy white cloud, wobbled. He loved to snatch shiny pebbles from mountain peaks. Each tiny stone made him feel special. But now, the village below stared up. Their faces crinkled with worry. Barnaby felt too light, too bright, with all his sparkling treasures. A shiver zipped through his misty body.

A gentle breeze tickled Barnaby. It pushed him away from the worried faces. He floated over twisty rivers and tall, green forests. The breeze hummed a soft tune. Barnaby swayed, his pebbles clinking like small bells. Up ahead, he saw a new land. It was bright with sunshine and laughter.

Down below, children pointed. “Look!” they squealed. Barnaby dipped a little. He let a glittery, blue pebble fall. It tumbled onto a flower. The children cheered! Their happy sounds made him puff up. He twirled, and a red pebble slipped out, landing right in a puddle. Splash! More cheers, louder this time. Barnaby shivered, but this time it was from joy.

He noticed a girl with bright, curious eyes. She held out her hands. Barnaby felt a happy gurgle inside. He tipped himself, and a whole stream of colorful pebbles spilled down. They landed like tiny jewels on the grass, in pockets, and in open palms. The children danced, their smiles wide and bright. Barnaby pulsed with their joy. A warm, quiet glow spread throughout his mist. He was a cloud, but he felt like a sunshine rainbow.
