Lily wore shoes, left and right. Her bright daisy, lost its light. It hung its head, a droopy sight, Oh, what a sad and sorry plight!

She looked so close, with big round eyes. Small wet dots, a sweet surprise. The ground was dry, beneath the skies, She heard the flower's tiny cries.

Her teacup small, with water clear, She poured it slow, to calm her fear. The daisy drank, held very dear, Its green stem moved, a happy cheer!

Again next morn, the sun shone bright, The daisy drooped, with all its might. Lily hurried, with pure delight, She poured more water, with all her light.

Then up it popped, a lovely bloom, Chasing away the morning gloom. Lily clapped, in her small room, She knew the secret, in full costume!
