Story Details

Panda decides to take a walk into the deep, green forest. “I wonder who I will meet today,” he says cheerfully.

Soon, he hears leaves rustling. A shy deer peeks out from behind a tree. Panda smiles. “Hello, little deer!”

The deer steps closer and bows its head gently. Panda pats it softly. “You’re very graceful,” he says.

Farther down the path, Panda hears splashing. He finds an otter playing in a small river. “Wow! You swim so well!” Panda claps.

The otter flips onto its back and floats, holding a tiny pebble on its belly. Panda giggles. “That looks fun!”

When Panda continues walking, he sees a bright, colorful bird landing on a branch. “Hello there!” Panda waves.

The bird spreads its wings, showing red, blue, and yellow feathers. Panda gasps. “You’re beautiful!”

Suddenly, a turtle slowly pokes its head out from behind a rock. Panda kneels down. “Hello, little turtle. Nice to meet you.”

They all gather together—the deer, the otter, the bird, the turtle, and Panda. Panda says, “Every friend is special in their own way.”

As the sun sets, Panda waves goodbye to his new friends. “I’ll visit you all again soon!” he promises with a warm smile.
