Story Details

Willy the Wind had a big problem. He always blew backwards! Today, he had to deliver a super bouncy, shimmering blue balloon to Lily's birthday party. Willy puffed a big breath. WHOOSH! The balloon zoomed forward, then ZIIIIIP! It flew right back to his nose, bonk! Willy giggled. This was going to be tricky!

He tried again. WHOOSH! The balloon bounced past Mrs. Gloop's prize-winning petunias, then ZIIIIIP! It whisked back, tickling Willy's ear. Mrs. Gloop gasped! Willy giggled harder. The balloon was having a grand time, too!

Willy took a very deep breath. He thought, and thought, and thought. What if he blew backwards even more backwards? He puffed out a special, swirly, reverse-reverse blow.

WHOOSH! The balloon sailed forward, perfectly straight, all the way to Lily's open window! ZIIIIIP! It stayed there! Lily clapped her hands with glee as Willy grinned a gusty, happy grin. He made it just in time!
