Story Details

Hello! This is Mai, the traveler. Mai loves to move! Today, she is learning about all the different ways to Travel from one place to another.

Mai starts her journey using her own body! She uses her Legs to Walk to the park. Walking is healthy, and running is fast! These are the simplest ways to move.

For a longer trip, Mai rides her Bicycle. A bicycle has two Wheels and Mai uses her legs to pedal. It is a fun, clean way to travel!

Mai gets into the family Car. The car is very fast and can travel long distances on the Road. The car uses Gas or electricity to make the wheels turn.

Mai sees a big Bus stopping at the corner. The bus carries many people at once. It is a good way for people to travel together.

Mai watches a long Train moving quickly on the Tracks. Trains can carry people or heavy goods and travel much faster than a car, but they must stay on the tracks.

Mai visits the port. She sees a Boat floating on the Water! Boats and ships use the water to travel to other lands or across big lakes and rivers.

Mai looks up and sees a huge Airplane flying high in the Sky! Airplanes are the fastest way to travel very long distances, across oceans and continents.

Mai sees special vehicles like the Fire Truck and the Ambulance. These vehicles have loud sirens and move very quickly because they help people in emergencies.

There are many ways to travel! Some move on land (car, train), some on water (boat), and some in the air (airplane).

No matter how Mai travels, she knows that Safety is the most important rule. She wears her helmet on her bike and uses her seatbelt in the car.

Mai loves learning about all the different vehicles! She is ready for her next big trip, however she decides to travel!
