Story Details

Lily hummed a happy tune. She always hummed when she saw round things. A lost ladybug sat on a big, flat leaf. Its back was so round! Lily hummed a new tune.

"Oh, little ladybug," she whispered. "Are you all alone?"

Lily saw a round pebble. She hummed a soft song. She picked up the pebble. It felt smooth and cool. She saw a tiny, round seed next to the pebble. She planted the seed. It needed soil and water.

Then, Lily saw a round, green sprout pushing up. She hummed a loud, excited tune. The sprout grew. It wanted sun and air. The little ladybug watched. Lily knew the sprout needed more room.

Next, Lily saw a round, yellow flower. She hummed a buzzing, busy tune. The flower stretched tall. It made its own round seeds. The ladybug moved its tiny legs. It smelled the sweet flower.

Suddenly, Lily saw a whole family of ladybugs on another round, red flower. She hummed her happiest tune! The lost ladybug quickly scurried to its family. They all looked so round and happy together.

Lily smiled. Seeds grew. Ladybugs found their way home. The garden was full of round, wonderful things.
