Hello! This is Leo. Today, he is standing on a beach made of silver sand. Suddenly, a bright yellow bus drives out of the ocean! It is waterproof and has windows like bubbles. This is the Golden Fish Island Bus!
First, Leo hops onto the bus. The driver is a Big Orange Crab wearing a captain's hat. Leo learns about Greetings. The crab goes Click-clack! to say hello. Leo sits on a seat that feels like a soft sea-sponge.
Next, the bus drives under the water. Splash! Leo learns about Bubbles. He looks out the window and sees thousands of tiny bubbles floating past. The bus is dry and warm inside, but he can see the blue water everywhere.
Now, the bus passes a Coral Forest. Leo learns about Colors. He sees pink, purple, and red coral. It looks like a garden under the sea. "Look! A seahorse!" cries Leo. The seahorse is yellow and very tiny.
Suddenly, the bus arrives at Golden Fish Island. Leo learns about Brightness. The whole island is covered in golden scales that shine in the sun. It looks like a giant treasure chest floating in the middle of the sea.
Leo gets off the bus and meets the Golden Fish King. Leo learns about Kindness. The king is a large fish with a crown made of pearls. He gives Leo a small, golden shell as a gift. It is very smooth.
Next, Leo sees a Sandcastle Contest. Leo learns about Building. He uses his hands to make a tall tower. The golden fish help him by bringing small shells to decorate the walls. Leo feels like a great artist.
Now, it is time for a Snack. The fish bring Leo "Sea-Biscuits" and blue juice. Leo learns about Taste. The biscuits are salty and crunchy. Leo realizes that food under the sea is very different but very yummy!
Suddenly, a Big Whale swims past the island. Leo learns about Size. The whale is as big as a house! It makes a loud sound: Whoooooo! Leo is not afraid because the whale is a gentle giant.
Next, Leo plays Hide and Seek in the seaweed. Leo learns about Hiding. He hides behind a long green leaf. The golden fish find him quickly because his blue shirt stands out. "Got you!" they seem to say.
The sun begins to go down, and the island starts to glow. Leo learns about Reflection. The gold on the island makes the water look like it is filled with liquid stars. It is the most beautiful thing Leo has ever seen.
Now, the bus driver crab honks the horn: Beep-beep! It is time to go home. Leo learns about Goodbyes. He waves to the Golden Fish King and the little seahorses. He promises to visit them again soon.
Finally, the bus drives back onto the silver sand. Leo learns about Sleepiness. He is tired after his big adventure. He holds his golden shell tightly and walks back to his house. He feels calm and happy.
Leo’s ocean adventure is finished. He realized that The Sea is a Giant Storybook. Every wave has a secret to tell. If you went to Golden Fish Island, would you want to swim with a whale or talk to a crab?
