Join Tiny Lily, who lives in a magical tree-tower, on an adventure to save her home when mysterious vines begin to choke its breath. With creativity and courage, Lily tackles each challenge, from tiny sparkly ropes to a giant tangled web, to restore fresh air to her city.
Tiny Lily lived in a tree-tower. It glowed green at night. Its roots drank puddle water. Its branches tickled the clouds.
One sunny morning, the air felt… thick. Not right. Lily peeked out. The tree-tower wasn't breathing its sweet, clean air. It was holding its breath!
First, Lily found a tiny, sparkly vine, wrapped tight around her window-branch. It was like a little green rope. "Oh no!" she cried. She tugged. She pulled. She wiggled.
The vine wouldn't budge. Lily fetched her smallest, bluntest butter knife. She sawed and sawed. *Snip!* The vine popped! The tree-tower sighed, a tiny puff of fresh air.
Next, as she climbed down the winding, woody stairs, a bigger, thicker vine blocked her path! It looked like a sleepy green snake. "Oh goodness!" she gasped.
This vine was strong. She pushed. She shoved. She kicked with her small feet. Nothing! Lily found a juicy, ripe berry from a low-hanging branch. She squished it.
The sweet, sticky juice made the vine slippery. She pushed again. *Whoosh!* The vine slid away! The tree-tower hummed, a happy, quiet sound.
Then, at the very bottom, near the big roots that held the whole city, a giant, tangled web of vines snaked and twisted! It sparkled with tiny, thorny teeth. "Oh my stars!" Lily yelled.
This was a monster vine! It wrapped around the biggest root like a grumpy green hug. Lily tried her butter knife. *Clink, clank!* It bounced off. She tried berry juice. *Splat!*
The vine just slurped it up. Lily thought hard. She saw a little squirrel chattering. Squirrels love nuts! Lily found a bag of crunchy acorns. She cracked them open.
She threw the nuts at the vine. *Crack! Snap! Pop!* The nuts broke the vine's tiny teeth. The vine loosened. Lily pushed with all her might. *CREAK! GROWL! SWOOSH!*
The huge vine unwound and fell away! The tree-tower roared, not angrily, but with a mighty, happy sigh.
Pure, clean air rushed through the city. Lily smiled. Her city was breathing again.
