A fox saw the gingerbread man. “Jump on my back,” said the fox. “I will help you cross the river.”

“Jump on my nose so you don’t get wet,” said the fox. The gingerbread man climbed onto the fox’s nose. Suddenly the fox snapped his mouth.
He ate the gingerbread man. Then the fox happily walked away into the forest.
