Story Details

Once upon a time, a girl named Little Red Riding Hood lived with her mother. She wore a red hood every day.

One day her mother said, “Your grandmother is sick.” “Take this basket of food to her house.” “Do not talk to strangers.”

Little Red Riding Hood walked into the forest. She carried the basket for her grandmother.

Soon she met a wolf on the path. “Where are you going?” asked the wolf.

“I am going to my grandmother’s house,” she said. “She lives in the forest.”

“Pick some flowers for her,” said the wolf. Little Red Riding Hood left the path. The wolf ran to the grandmother’s house.

The wolf came to the grandmother’s house. He knocked on the door.

“Who is there?” asked Grandmother. “It is me, Little Red Riding Hood,” said the wolf.

The wolf went inside the house. He put on Grandmother’s clothes. He got into the bed.

Soon Little Red Riding Hood came to the house. She went inside. She walked to the bed.

“Grandmother, what big eyes you have!” “All the better to see you,” said the wolf.

“Grandmother, what big ears you have!” “All the better to hear you,” said the wolf.

“Grandmother, what big teeth you have!” “All the better to eat you!” said the wolf.

The wolf jumped out of the bed. But a woodcutter came into the house. He chased the wolf away.

Little Red Riding Hood was safe. She hugged her grandmother. She did not talk to strangers again.
