In a small village with green, rolling hills, lived a young shepherd boy named Lino. Every day, he took his sheep to the fields

One sunny morning, Lino saw a tiny bird sitting all alone on a rock. Her feathers were messy, and she had a small scratch on her wing. She looked very sad. Lino knelt beside her. “Are you hurt?” he asked softly. The little bird nodded. “A little… but mostly, I’m lonely. I don’t have a family,” she said in a tiny, shaky voice.

“You’re not alone anymore,” said Lino softly. “I’ll be your friend.”

Lino and Sorone became best friends. Lino shared his crumbs, and Sorone brought him tiny glowing flowers.

Each morning they sang: Lino says : “Sorone, Sorone, where are you today?” Sorone replies : “Here I am, here I am—ready to play!” Their happy song made the whole forest smile.

One day, Lino and Sorone met a tiny, playful goat named Pip. Pip followed them everywhere, sometimes causing silly trouble. Together they explored the meadows, chased butterflies, and found glowing mushrooms that hummed softly. Every day became a fun little adventure.

But one morning, Sorone didn’t come. Lino searched everywhere, calling their song, “Sorone, Sorone, where are you?” There was no answer

Lino’s heart hurt with worry. He sat on the soft moss and drew Sorone in the sand, his tears sparkling in the light. Pip nudged him to cheer him up, but Lino still felt sad—until a tiny firefly appeared and led him toward some village children.

The village kids had taken Sorone, hoping to play with her. But when they saw how sad Lino was, they quickly opened the little wooden cage. Sorone flew straight into Lino’s arms, chirping wildly

“You can’t force someone to be your friend,” Lino told the children kindly. “Friendship is about kindness and sharing.” The children nodded, understanding at last.

From that day on, Lino, Sorone, Pip, and the children sang their song together: “Sorone, Sorone, where are you, where are you?” “Here I am, here I am ready to play!” Whenever they sang, the magical flowers bloomed all around the village. Colors shimmered in the sunlight, petals twirled in the breeze, and everyone felt the warmth of friendship and love. Sorone’s magic wasn’t just in her wings—it was in the happiness and kindness she shared
