Hello! This is Mai. She loves to build with her blocks, but today she is traveling to see the world's most Amazing Buildings. Every building tells a story!

First, Mai visits Egypt. The Pyramids are very old and made of giant stone blocks. They were built for kings and are so big you can see them from space!

Mai flies to Paris, France. She sees the Eiffel Tower. It is made of iron and looks like a giant metal lace. It was built for a big fair over 100 years ago and is now a symbol of love.

Next, Mai walks along the Great Wall. It is the longest structure ever built! It snakes across mountains and hills like a stone Dragon. It was built to protect the country a long time ago.

Mai travels to India to see the Taj Mahal. It is a beautiful palace made of white Marble. It glows in the sun and was built by a king because he loved his queen very much.

In Italy, Mai sees a very funny building. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is tilted to one side! The ground was too soft, so it started to lean, but it is still standing strong today.

Mai goes to Dubai to see the tallest building in the world! The Burj Khalifa is so high that it touches the clouds. It is made of glass and steel and has a very fast elevator.

Mai visits the Colosseum in Rome. It is a giant oval arena made of stone. A long time ago, people went there to watch games and shows. It looks like a giant, ancient Stadium.

Mai sails to New York to see a giant green lady. The Statue of Liberty holds a torch high in the air. She is a gift from France and represents Freedom for people all over the world.

Mai learns that buildings are made of different things. Some are made of Bricks, some of Wood, and the big ones are made of Concrete and strong Steel.

Mai learns that Architects are the people who imagine and draw the buildings before they are built. They have to be good at math and art!

Mai is home now. She is using her blocks to build her own amazing dream house. If you could build any house, what would it look like?
