A delightful and educational tale that inspires young readers to explore the universe and appreciate nature's magic.
Hello! This is Mai. Today, she is standing at a bus stop made of a giant slice of watermelon. Suddenly, a flying bus shaped like a pineapple lands in front of her. This is the Fruit Planet Bus, and Mai is going on a space trip!
First, Mai hops onto the bus. She learns about Seatbelts. The seatbelts are made of soft, purple grape vines. Mai clicks her belt: Click! The bus makes a sound like a blender: Whirr-whirr-zoom! and flies into the sky.
Next, the bus reaches the Orange Planet. Mai learns about Circles. Everything on this planet is round and orange. The hills are oranges, and the houses are giant clementines. The air smells fresh and citrusy!
Now, the bus stops at the Banana Moon. Mai learns about Shapes. The moon is curved like a big yellow smile. Mai gets off and bounces on the ground. It feels soft and mushy, like a giant banana pudding!
Suddenly, Mai sees the Strawberry Stars. She learns about Counting. She counts the little yellow seeds on the stars: "One, two, three!" There are so many red, juicy stars shining in the dark space.
Next, Mai visits the Grape Galaxy. Mai learns about Colors. She sees purple, green, and red grapes floating like balloons. She catches a purple one, and it tastes like sweet summer rain.
Now, the bus drives through the Pineapple Rings. Mai learns about Patterns. The rings are yellow and have spiky edges. The bus flies through the holes in the middle. Whoosh! It is like a giant, sweet tunnel.
Suddenly, Mai sees a Watermelon Comet. Mai learns about Weight. The comet is huge and heavy, with green stripes. It leaves a trail of pink juice and black seeds behind it as it zips past the bus.
Next, Mai meets a Pear Alien. Mai learns about Friendship. The alien is shaped like a green pear and has three eyes. He gives Mai a "Vitamin Hug." Mai feels very strong and full of energy!
Now, the bus driver says it is time for a Snack. Mai learns about Health. She eats a bowl of mixed fruit from different planets. She realizes that fruit is the best fuel for a space traveler like her.
The sun begins to shine brighter. Mai learns about Growth. She sees how the light from the sun helps the fruit planets stay big, juicy, and beautiful. "Thank you, Mr. Sun!" says Mai.
Now, the bus flies back to Earth. Mai learns about Home. She lands softly in her kitchen. The pineapple bus turns back into a regular pineapple on the table. But Mai still has a strawberry star in her pocket.
Finally, Mai has dinner with her family. She learns about Nutrition. She tells her mom, "I want to eat more fruit so I can fly back to the stars!" She realized that Nature is the Sweetest Magic.
Mai’s space adventure is finished. She closes her eyes and dreams of her pear alien friend. She realized that eating healthy is a big adventure. If you could visit a fruit planet, would you go to the Apple Planet or the Mango Sun?
